swing axle tubes

Some clever spark cut the shock mount part of the bracket of the tubes for the gearbox off my project.
Will any swingaxle tubes fit or does it have to be type 3

Most people go to short beetle , so they make more room for a wider rim and tyres . Its the outer end after the shock mount that is longer on a type3 .

Type 3 and '68> are both longer/the same, and try and keep the bearing caps with thier respective axles
