Changes in Beetle Bumpers
Anyone know if there were changes in Beetle front bumper shapes around 1970-71.
Cheers in advance.

Hi
as far as I know they were the same from 1968> on...
on non supers....
Supers had different front bumpers..
I actually have a 71 superbug front bumper on My 68 beetle..
they are entirely different --- nearly straight on a non super..
and very curved on a superbug...
cheers

Might have been an aftermarket bumper Lee.
The factory German bumpers both front and rear are identical after 70 for both Superbugs and standards, even once the indicators started in 75.
You'll see they have 2 sets of mounting holes, one for Superbugs, one for standards.
Front bumper on mine is actually a 76 standard.
