Heating and aircon to an ej20 install

I have searched old posts re heating and cooling and haven't found much information so thought I would ask and if possible iif anyone had some installation pictures that would really help me. I am getting the EJ20 installed with a subi 5 speed box and thought what the hell I have spent way too much why not add aircon/heating. I have done a quick google and can see I can buy all the components and fashion up a system but was wondering if anyone has used a complete kit (like vintage air gen 2) I was hoping to connect to the existing ducts and want something quick and simple as I will get it fitted. Thanks for any advice pics etc...Rob

a lot of people use the Vintage air as most bugs don't have air ducts but I think Joel and Steve 1303 have Lbug and may of used vw air vents .

I did with mine but I managed to fluke finding an original RHD LBug A/C system.
It's intergrated into the dash in Lbugs unlike the others were it's just underneath.

With Bays there is original under dash setups as well but everyone with one moans about how they take up a lot of room and prevent access for working on nearly everything dash related.
That is where the old overhead ones are good and there is a few of them kicking around Aus.

Chances of finding a RHD under dash one though are pretty low unless you look to Japan, Malaysia, Phillipines etc you can sometimes find them.

Hey Rob, Kimm at Indian Automotive has just finished doing an EJ25 and Subarugears 5 speed conversion with A/C and heating in a bay. (funny that!). Give him a call - I know it's a fair drive but it might be worth having a peep while the bus is still there.
