I'm pretty sure they didn't come with cigarette lighters? As far as I know, none of the air-cooled cars came with cigarette lighters, although they
all had ash trays. In any case, you can just install any generic cigarette lighter, either brand new or from any 12 volt car.

They were a dealer fitted accessory when the car was sold new.
Most people use generic ones but the originals matched the VW dash knobs, the 6 volts had a matching ivory knob and the 12 volt had a black rubber one
that matched the headlights/wiper switch, I still have one in my bug.

I have the correct matching lighter part. Fits any socket you buy from the auto stores but has the correct knob with symbol that matches the other
dash knobs. Was from the USA. That way it looks factory when you unplug the Navman.
Pm me if you are interested. They sell around $20 so I'd let it go for that. Probably got a bonnet strip too. Also have a couple of quarter window
frames here so would have the button.
