I would say that it entirely depends on your chassis setup and horse Power . With the stock location of my torsion bars in my Pro Outlaw car ( 1.35 60ft) I needed the wheely bars , I would even consider them a safety device for that car . If you raise the torsion housing up say 3" it would not be as likely to need them. A good example are the USE/ USW cars. Per the rules in the class they are not allowed to use wheely bars , some pull large wheelies , the modified chassis cars do not . After saying all this I do have them for my "Street car " and I will be running them when allowed by rules . Mike McCarthy

I would say it depends on how fast your car is and/or how big your hangy down, clanking things are... ... ...

It was a 'smart-arse' question, aimed at Gary [nbturbo]...so he came back [after an apropriate time delay] with a [very apropriate] 'smart-arse' answer. :tu:

Gary thinks I will ask "Is that NO, they are not necessary - or is it NO, I haven't fitted mine yet"......But I am not going to.

Well Fiatdude-my hangy down, clanky things are never gunna grow big enough to perform that "Circus Act"-that is a neat trick.Should have waited the full 12 months to give the "smart-arse"answer.Come on Greg-you know you want to ask.Perhaps don't-the story of what's happened the last 12 months with my car will make you tear up.

Come on Greg- man up and ask. I have it booked for Dyno Time next Saturday morning. Hope there is a better outcome with this new bloke.Probably should get some fresh Methanol- the stuff I have is over a year old. I always kept it in a sealed container- but I ran some into a clean glass jar and it had fine white flakes of calcium like stuff in suspension.
