Mallory unilite vac advance with optical pickup???

Can anybody shed a light on wether or not the Mallory unilite dizzy is worth the $$ that are asked for them?

I have a set of 40mm IDF Italian webers and a 110 cam and will be building a good stainless mandrel exhaust for my type4 1800 in my trike project and was considering buying one of these Mallory unilite distributors to round out the combo.
I will probably have a bit of head work done as well.

Before dishing out the $$ that they ask for one, Has anyone got any advice for or against them?

thanks Jade

I have one on my 2275 in my Ghia, very good distributor, you can set the total advance, the curve and adjust the vacuum on the canister, I have a spring set for mine, I had a pickup fail because I did not run the power filter, http://www.summitracing.com/int/search/brand/mallory-ignition/product-line/ma...
I bought the set up from Summit in the States. you can run a ignition box with the distributor also. here is what aircooled net sells.
