Hi im just wondering what the fist letters of the serial code on the side of an IRS Type 3 box is. Thanks Telf

Type 3 IRS were DC.
They made the last 73 ones single side plate but still with a 4.125 R&P which was really odd combo but the pre 72 were dual side plate.
