Miniman in 'Race' magazine

There is a good article in race magazine about mini mans buggy. Ugly yet effective is how it's described.

The mag is a good read too.

Cheers

http://racemagazine.com.au/

great local magazine, focusing on the technical side of club/state level motorsport.

very good read, includes good coverage of hill climb and Improved Production.

Glen Torrens also gets a mention in another article, about challenging a Porsche in the 1000m drag race.

I have been reading it for about 3 years, they have some good high end articles (the Merc SLR GT3 Car) plus club level stuff like your buggy.

High recomend it to any club level racer.

A few years ago, they did how to build a LSD for a motorcylce engined car (full step by step), plus articles on aero and composites.

Thanks Fabo, yeah i`m a little Choofed to say the least, Neil did a great job making it look even better than it is really :-)

My poor results at the Mt Cotton AHC that day were reflective of a shredded diff (among other things) so after that meeting we took it out & stuck a Quaife diff in there & ran 10th outright at Noosa hillclimb the following weekend,,, & altho it was much better i still think a tighter Plate type LSD may be the go, just have to get around to fitting one up to the beast

some bigger front wheels/tyres would certainly help too, maybe 13"x10" slicks would be better suited

& maybe a turbo & 4x4 system would be even better :-)
cheers everyone & i know it`s not VW but i`m glad there`s not too many people sh!tting on me/it about that point,,, i`m getting my kombi Ute going again shortly so at least it will be transported to & from the race tracks again with a VeeDub :-)
