Mick Motors Email is down
Just a quick note if you have sent Mick Motors any email in the last week then do not expect a response. There has been someone trying to mail bomb
the pop 3 server and all his incomming mail had to be deleted. All 1700 of them......
Please bare with him it will be up again soon. |

Dude,
do you want a hand to find out who is doing it? I have friends in the AFP and I know Frank in the NSW comp. crimes unit.

Dang - you cleaned out of /var/spool/mail. Do you have any headers? I'll send you some e-mail of what to preserve. I hope there was a backup
between the two times you downloaded the mail - that way we have preservation of evidence and can more easily prove chain of custody.
I love sending in the boys on dawn raids. It's fun. They like it too, they need the press to keep funding.

All better
It is all sorted now, it actually traced back to the NSW Police .... oh I hear you say.
It seems that their virus detector took a dislike to the auto responder on the site so sent a message back saying it was rejsecting this. Now the
e-mail address on the auto responder was set as the one and the same so the auto responder responded and the ping pong game began. As the server
reached its limit, it bounced back even more e-mail.
oops... |

Dang. I hate the sort of brain damaged MTA's you get at many corporates. MIMEsweeper is truly one of the worst out there.
I hope you got it sorted okay.
