Engine Code Help

Won't be able to tell from that number. That looks like a number stamped on by the Police.....Which is what was done in the old days when a new engine was fitted that did not previously have a number stamped on it.

Queensland Police number.

I'm guessing that it's a "D" case.

I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!:lol:

Similarly the Vic. numbers issued by VicRoads start with V and end with P (meaning "Victoria Police"?).
{Does anyone know what "NREPS...." means? Was a re-stamped chassis no. from NSW.}
