We nearly got into trouble at work after cable tieing a thief to a chair. The police quietly said not to do it again.

I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

Yes. We used to be allowed to carry handcuffs as security guards but were strongly urged never to use them (at least not at work:lol:) and never to use the word "arrest". Because technically anyone can arrest anyone - there is no such thing as citizens arrest in Australia, but when you arrest someone there is then a requirement to take that person in front of a magistrate in a certain timeframe - the police have the resources and know how to do this but the average person would be stuffed.

While cable tying a perp to a chair is good in theory, it can bite you if they have a good lawyer.

"a good lawyer"......That's a bit of a joke - is there such a thing ? Smart, cunning, etc. maybe !

Lawyers are responsible for allowing 'the bad guys' [especially those with lots of money] win over the 'good guys'. :td:

In that vein...... It was so cold down here this morning, that I actually saw a lawyer walking down the street with his hands in his own pockets!

Two lawyers out to lunch together.
"Oh shit, I've left the safe open back at the office!"
"Doesn't matter, we're both here."
