charge light

Ok need ideas/ help

Charge light is on a lot in my '85 model T3. Have checked charge across battery and got 13.9-14.2 volts so that seems fine. Not sure what else could cause this.
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks

Ignition switch?

I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

Even though your voltage reads OK, pull the regulator anyway and see if any brushes are left.

Do those T3 (wedge Transporters?) have a metal socket that earths the warning light? They can be a bit rusty sometimes and give a fault (light on) when they're actually OK.

Check the earth lead on your battery and from your instrument panel to chassis ground.

Theres a few anyway! :tu:
