Agreed 100% and it will , over time affect ALL cars. Me, a collector who has nine or so vehicles would be heavily peanalised with an environmentally
unfriendly old cars on Full NSW rego. Not because I want an old car but because I choose to drive it daily. You see if you cannot afford a new car
(or newer car) you are peanalised.
That is my issue. I know a lot of people who choose to have their 70 + year old car on full rego as there are no club restrictions. The RMS have
their eyes on this pack to grab more money from us.
A one car collector rego applicble to a certain amount of vehicles for a collector would would be brilliant. Bring it on!

I guess the politicians need their expense allowances. It can't be anything other than a money grab, because there is no reason to say our carbon
neutral cars are damaging the environment.
There was a report done in Europe that discovered it would take 51 years of normal running for an historic car to pollute the atmosphere as much as
the build of a Toyota Camry Hybrid and Prius.
This sort of stuff is pure horsecrap, I remember being in the UK when they brought in the Historic VED (Free) road tax, the reasoning was all based on
environmental cost to replace. The government worked out the carbon footprint for each new car produced, then worked out how often cars are replaced
on average, fleet cars were 2 years and family 3-7 years, that's how they came up with the Historic class and it was totally free, old cars were seen
as carbon neutral, considering that a Prius is not carbon neutral until it's 18 years of age.

I have been saying this for years and will continue pushing the wheel barrow, especially now that the state government here in Tasmania has given up
on rego labels.
There was a significant number of vehicles being apprehended for no rego when there was labels (easy to spot) now that we have a no label society the
number will increase, even if just an oversight.
Rego IMO should be paid at the bowser with fuel useage. That way you pay the fees on the car/vehicle you are driving at the time. Own multiple cars?
You can only drive one at a time, so why are we paying rego on all of them to sit at home? Answer:- The state government makes money out of
enthusiasts.
The government has all the statistics and know the average mileage a person does over a twelve month period, it would not take a rocket scientist to
work out the fee that would need to be added to each litre of fuel to equal a rego payment.
In the mean time here in Tasmania, I see more and more older cars on SI plates, that's not club plates, running around as commuters.
Just my thoughts.
