wire problem on fuel sender
Ok re fitti g my sons wiring on 73 squareback
Does anybody have a diagram and which side does the power go on to the fuel guage as one way says full when I know it is not and the other is
empty?
I think power comes of the fuse to the guage and the other wire goes to the sender unit in tank! Is that all?
Cheers all

Clyve I have a couple of type 3 workshop manuals if you are interested, but basicaly that is how the system is and the wire with the eye terminal goes
under one of the screws on the sender to earth.

yep. iirc when you pop the bulb holder off the back of the gauge, the 2 pegs for the fuel meter, one should have a + next to it, I could be wrong.
been a while. That one goes to your power, other goes to the sender.
Good idea to add a ground wire under one of the sender screws returning to the body as the factory never did and a lot of the time there is a bad
ground due to the tank being supported by foam under the lip and the tank is painted.
