ok, so i just purchased a 72 TLE auto fastback in really nice shape. I have never owned an auto before so my question is..will an auto handle a boost
in engine displacement to 1776 or am i pushing it too much....
and if i remember they are like a semi automatic whereby you still have to change gears, is that correct?

Type 3 is full auto so they self shift, they will handle lots of power as long as its in good condition

Yep, the auto is strong and can be made really strong. I have built a 2442 that runs through an auto and as long as a mild cam is used for a good
vacuum signal, the auto responds well
