Sherman Disc Brake kit (front and rear) for sale; suit 63 type 1; wide 205

For sale:

All the components needed (except drop spindles) to put 4 wheel disc brakes on a 1963 type 1 swing axle and kingpin.

I bought the gear off John Shermann around Christmas intending to put it on myself. But I ended up getting a car restorer to do some work and he preferred using CSP kit, which I have subsequently have installed. So the Shermann gear has been sitting in boxes ever since and I am cleaning up the house so...

The kit includes cast iron discs and callipers to suit a 1963 type 1 wide 205.

Extras pieces I picked up include ATE dual circuit master cylinder and reservoir, braided hoses and NSK wheel bearings.

I paid just over $2,000 for the lot. Excellent condition kit. Not used. Asking $1,200 ONO. Freight is extra. Am based on Brisbane Northside.

Thanks, Michael 0412 885 877

Would these fit a beam with drop spindles?

Absolutely. The calliper plates are made for drop spindles (although I have used the dropped spindles that John supplied me on my 63 Karmann with the CSP disc brake kit).

So if you are using dropped spindles then all is good. I don't think they would work with stock height spindles.
