Sounds like the one either from Seymour near the chain of lagoons or the one from Forth.
They are still there, just have faith you'll find one.

From memory the low-light factory high toppers had an extended sliding door to obvioulsy allow for increased access.
I remember one for sale that sat next to a huge shed on gumtree about 8 months ago?

This was what I thought was a factory high top:
Note the extension to the sliding door.
Maybe this is the Aussie version.

Scott that's German factory. The Australian factory ones used a normal door.
I read it on samba, so it must be correct.
Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

OK Phil.
However, I saw a RHD version of this for sale in Oz a year or so ago - it did have the tall sliding door on the drivers side though - might have been
an import then conversion job??

Probably. Imagine trying to get a replacement door?
I think that the Aussie roofs were made by Sopru.

Adventurer was the normal common one. Wanderer was the high top.

Ahhh yes - thats the one - the Wanderer.
Not overly popular when first offered for sale but a few still around.

In '75 there was the Adventurer, Wanderer, Dormobile and another one. Was the 4th one called a Traveller or something?
