Transfer rego from VIC to NSW
Hi all,
I need to transfer a VIC registered 65 bug to NSW and I know I need to get Blueslip then greenslip to go and get rego.(It has Roadworthy certificate
from VIC in Sept so I am not too worried) but are there any recommendations for someone who does a blueslip around Inner West Sydney, or Sydney in
general?
Also it doesn't have reverse lights or passenger side door mirror are these a problem in NSW for a 50 year old car?
Cheers

Not required.
I read it on samba, so it must be correct.
Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

Hi noblenick
I did the same with my '69 Bug a couple of years ago. I don't have any official information, but I did my blueslip in conjunction with a local VW
mechanic and the neighbouring engineering/mechanic blueslip provider (they worked together). So if you can find a VW workshop who authorises blueslips
as well, you are on your way, I would think.
Regarding the reverse lights and the l/h mirror, the word to me was that the car was standard and was sold in Australia in '69 without those
features, so it was not a requirement-I had the same concerns as you.
Also there is a law in NSW I believe that says a passenger vehicle must have left and right mirror if a side or rear window is tinted to certain
level. I have no reversing lights (I turn the hazards on most of the time) , and only a right hand mirror and no tinted windows.
Good luck, Rob.

Thanks All.
Cheers Barry. Apologies I didn't see your response with this one re: Lou. Will give him a call tomorrow.
Cheers Rob.. Thanks for the heads-up. My 65 doesn't come with Hazards or reverse lights nor a passenger side mirror but windows aren't tinted in
anyway.
