seat belts
Question I'm buying a 63 model beetle are seat belts a requirement in the rear seat I know the front must have them but the rear I'm not sure for
N.S.W as it will need a blue slip coming from tasse

No they are not required. I think that belts (front also) are only required after '65.
I read it on samba, so it must be correct.
Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

Seat belts mandatory for cars manufactured or imported from 1966. But if never fitted = not required. If fitted then must be in sound condition. My2c
