I find this very interesting, if you look at the back ground of Stan he is a qualified aircraft machinest, understands fit, finnish , tolerances and has a wealth of knowlege from years in the field, i never have bought an engine from him but have great respect for the man, Dave Butler is another machinest who i get to do my work before i assemble the engine myself, both of these people are engine builders because they do it from start to finnish, I cannot comment on all of the people above but have had dealings with two, which were most unsatisfactory requireing me to spend more money after the event, anybody can call them self an engine builder but not to many do it from start to finnish and understand the pro's and con's of the modifications that they are making.

You don't have to be a good machinist to be a good engine builder and Stan is an excellent machinist
