Automatic Beetle
Im looking on information about my 1971 beetle. Its an automatic and Im looking to see how many were made automatic as they seem so hard to find. Im
also looking to find out how much an automatic would be worth, considering I can't seem to find any.
Im new to experiences with beetles as I am only 16, and this is my first car, so any information on 1971 beetles would be so good because I currently
have no idea.
Thanks and look forward to hearing from people

They would be worth about the same as a manual. They are not as desirable, and there are not as many of them, so it evens out.
I would put a 1971 'S' Beetle at around $4000-$6000 if currently roadworthy and registered. Maybe more if in immaculate condition.
They weren't a big seller in the first place but many of them have been converted to manual as there's a lot of parts that just can't be bought
new.
I found a manual 72 Superbug sitting unloved in a yard last year and got a shock when it was being tied down to the trailer I noticed it had the ATF
tank holes and mounts.
