stroker and brakes
I am in the process of collecting bits for a stroker build ( to me this is perhaps the most enjoyable part of a project ).
I am going for low reving torque with a stroker .
I will only ever poke along just want to easily carry a load and go up hills.
At present I have a strong TP 1600 and with IRS it struggles a bit when full.
So farI have
New AS case
web 218 cam
scat 78 crank
5.4 rods
heavy flywheel
Looking at either going small valve tims heads 37 x35 and centre progressive weber 1 3/8 vintage speed and expecting this to run out of puff at
4-5000 rpm restricted by inlets but be more than enough push my bus along.
Or
DRD stage one 40 x 35.5 heads and twin 40mm Dells 1 1/2 vintage this won't run out of puff i imagine and will produce a fair amount of additional
ponies.
I think i would be happy with the first but the :twisted: is tempting me for the second which will involve more $$ especially as I would probably
not be able to stay with stock brakes. They are new and work perfectly and i was hoping to get away with them in option one.
Any input would be appreciated.

Good luck with it. My only thought, is that if you are beefing the engine to carry a load, just as you need power to move a load, you need power to
stop it.

If you want to get the best out of the engine a set of dual two barrel webers or dellortos, you will gain between 20 to 30 % in torque over a centre
mount two barrel, they are really worth the effort, also a lot easier to tune over the progressive weber.
