Fuel cap door release cable
Hi, I have a 1970 VW Beetle and want to remove the fuel door release cable but the D handle has no circlips or screw. Does it screw off or is there
a trick I should know.

Generally just a push on fit mate, mine used to come off all the time!
It will all be OK in the end, if it's not OK it's not the end!

One type just unscrews and the other has a clip going through the handle. If it has the clip, hold the cable itself with a pair of needle nose pliers
and gently turn the knob while pulling on it and it should pop off.
