Timing Marks


Hi Guys
please see attached picture. Which timing marks do I use the v on back of pulley or white mark on front of pulley. I have a 1300 engine in my beetle.

The Vee "should" be TDC with the case join line.
The white dot appears to be in roughly the right position for a timing light idle check.
