Hope he's got another yard for them.
Could be a way to pick up some bargains to save him the trouble too.

Yeah, good luck getting a bargain . Bought bits from him years ago and charged top dollar. Most cars and parts were too far gone then. Needs a D10
dozer to run through the place- which will probably happen.

I remember seeing it when I was working out of Brisvegas. There's a servo on the other side of the highway from memory. My work mates reckoned it was
all just junk.

In the report it says he pays an estimated $300,000- annually in rates and taxes!!!
I wonder what other business he runs to keep all those 'project cars' ???
Looks like sims will be happy to get his call.

Now common guys, he`s been there forever (he actually asked me to manage the place back in the 80s)
he`s been filtering cars out of there all squashed & on the back of semis for a couple of years now
yes he would ask top dollar but he was open to haggling, he was actually a nice guy if you spent the time to get to know him ,,, but if you went in
there wanting a rare-ish part for one dollar he would turn & make it really hard for you & would rather keep it than give it away to a wanker
trying to rip him off,,, if you were fair, then he was fair. simple as that.
i`m not sure what the Govt offered him but he can`t run the place, he`s too old & buggered, so progress is progress i spose.
Happy New Year
:-)

Here's a Youtube video I found.
Pretty sure this is the place
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=RspLwA-q4Os
Kombis at 3:08
Bug at 13:15
This is the one he's sitting on in the photo.
Baja at 16:36
Soft top L Bug at 15:04
Beetle at 20:31
Proof that a car graveyard near the coast just doesn't work.
Sad to see so many potential parts just rotted away.

I wonder what SIMS Metals pays per kg for RUST?
My experience was you didn't get the opportunity to haggle over the price. You went out into the yard with one of the minions, spent half the day
removing the parts, hauled it to the office, the minion went upstairs to get the price. You go"shit that's expensive" but I've just wasted half
the day removing the parts. "F..ck it, I'll just pay the thieving bastard.
My mistake was not asking for the price first.
