WTB 40HP tinware
I've mislaid the rear tinware on my stale-air 40HP motor. This is the one at the rear of the car, full width that goes under the pulley.
Any one got one in their stash? Preferably around Brisbane/SEQ. I'm at Kangaroo Point.

Thanks for the replies. I'll see what Grahame has in his pile. If no luck there I'll try VVDS.

What pisses me off is that I had them all as a complete driving car. Stripped down and rebuilt engine, moved house, restoring car at the moment some
10 years later and can't find it now!

you can buy new aftermarket. No large holes for the fresh air tubes, with preheat manifold cutouts, the only bit missing is to cut a hole for the air
filter preheat hoseI looked for the same for my stale air 40hp.

I am actually looking at getting one of those repro ones with no holes at all. I have a Riechert twin carb kit on this engine with vintage speed
muffler so there are no manifold pre heat flanges. However I still want an original tin so I can convert back to standard as I still have the
original Ghia air cleaner etc

OK, remembered you had to go to new reply to attach photos. Here are some pics of the engine.
Its the one at the rear of the car, full width that goes under the pulley. First one you see when you open the lid.

Got one! Thanks to a photo sent by Dibsy of his stash, and the photo above from Splitbus I could confirm that one of the eight in Dibsy's pile was
correct. Been working crazy hours lately but ducked out over lunch to pick it up.
Thanks to others who responded (Grahame, vw54 and bushed), but I knew it wouldn't be a wasted trip from the photo. Just need to get it powder coated
now. Of course my original one will show up two days after that........
