[WTB - NSW - Sydney] Steel dash bug

Hi all,

Am on the hunt for a steel dash bug, preferably post 1968 so that it has 3 point rear seatbelt installed (will be doing school drop off with kids a couple of mornings p.week and doing occasional weekend drives so need to mount child seats)

Looking for one that is registered, without structural rust, preferably with paintwork that will last at least another 4-5 years (although ideally 20+ ;)) before a respray is required.

Not fussed on engine size.

Will be a daily driver and long term plans to restore.

Looking to spend max $5,000 but could probably talk the missus up a little more if the perfect bug was available.

Have looked at a couple already and they've come close but want to see what may be lurking out there in people's driveways or garages/sheds that aren't on the usual online car buying/selling places.

Thanks
Mick

Quick update, I put a deposit down on a '69 1500 this morning. Picking it up on the weekend.

Didn't pay too much for it so should be able to replace heater channels and a couple of missing parts within budget.

Didn't get the standard of paint i was hoping for but really can't expect too much for the $$ I've got to spend. Would rather have something tatty but solid and running than a shiny rust bucket!
