Linkpin narrowed beam set up
Im trying to figure out how to attach a set of KYB Excel-G gas shocks to a 2 inch narrowed beam. The fitting hardwear that came with it doesn't seem
to fit.
Anyone set this up before?

Depends how the shock tower has been constructed. Mine was a slimmed down OE tower so still has the spacing boss for the upper shock mount. I still
had to cut down a shock mount inner sleeve to space the shock away enough for clearance.
If your beam has a shock tower made of plate steel then it may not have the spacing boss.
Oh, and hopefully they used the correct M12 thread in the shock tower and not a different thread pitch or even different size thread.

yeah I think the thread on the top mount of the shock tower is wrong I.e. too small for the mounting hardware that came with the new KYB's.
I will have to hunt down some original shock tower bolts I think and use them with the original spacing boss, which fits in the shock.
