Club rego with non-vw engine

Hi All,

For all those who have non-vw engines - Porsche, Suburu etc

I just wondered what friendly clubs people were members of that offer Club Rego.

I'm based in Melbourne and looking at getting my Porsche engine Baywindow into a club. Any like minded people that I may be able to meet?

Just remember you will have to get current engineers report and RWC to get the Club Permit plate. It will be an 'M' plate for modified.

My kombi is still in the UK atm so will have to get rwc and vass and engineers before onto club rego.

Is the price of an m-plate the same as the H club plates?

What I don't want to do is import it then find out if can't get it on club rego and have to pay the full standard rego when it won't be used very often

I already have an approved vehicle import permit

M plate and H plate are the same price. Being an import you will need VASS anyway, so that covers the engineers report. Just make sure you tell the VASS engineer that you are going on M plate permit. They will make sure it is all correct when it comes to getting the permit.

Talk Torque Automotive in Eltham. Bill is a VW guy (and previous 911 owner) and a VASS engineer
