Relocated shifter with bug tech short shift
In my 63 ghia, I had new seats installed and found the shifter annoyingly far away. So, i had the tunnel cut and shut and shortened the shifter rod by
150 mm. This also required the handbrake to be shortened about 75 mm. I also use a bug tech shifter. The shifter is exceptional. It took a little bit
of dialing in to get the right amount of pressure when shifting from 3rd back to 2nd and not slot reverse. The only issue I have with the shifter is
that a bit of aluminium is grinding away on the metal to metal contact point on the reverse bar (on drivers side). It sprinkles into the shifter
coupling. I guess i could get thin piece of nylon installed to remove the grinding effect - but def worth it though.
