T3 "Blue '92" build thread

Ah!!!!! Think you should have posted this in the Buses section as seems you have a 1992 T3 Transporter/Caravelle ..... this section if TYPE3 = Sedan (Notch), Fastback (explains itself) & Variant (Station Wagon).

Anyhow there are a few products about for sound deadening with foil backing so in a way insulation:smirk:

Blue '92 T3 build thread

Hi guys! I finally pulled the trigger on a T3 and I'm loving it so far. I'm so excited to deck her out and make some usable space inside for activities.

Pictures to come.

I'm wondering if anyone can provide some advice on insulation. I was considering throwing some roof bats in the walls for both sound and heat insulation, can anyone comment on this?

Cheers
(Thanks Fossil for mentioning this was on the wrong board)

G'day
Gotta be careful with insulation.
Batt type can get wet from condensation and hold moisture - rust

There are a few stick on sound type insulation about.
They do add weight though
