Subaru motor install time?
A guy I know is intending to install a 2ltr Subaru mtr in a 73 L bug and mentioned that it would probably take about 1 month.
I mentioned much more time.
Also he doesn't have all the parts as yet.
Can anyone tell me what would be the approximate time for the install.
What would be the approximate cost, and he has a motor with 220,000 klms on it and wants to turbo it.
What about an engineer on the Central Coast NSW.

Depends on his skill level. Mine was in and driving in 3 days. Has done about 35,000km now and only had to replace oils and a crank angle sensor.
Andrew at agt engineering is the go for modifying the wiring loom. Athlon Mullins is the engineer to pass it. Both are relatively local to you. As for
a turbo it's not really needed as the suby has good power stock.

If you put a non turbo motor in and fit it you will need use an aftermarket ECU, gets expensive.
I thought I would be happy with a 195kW @ flywheel, Im at 305kW at the wheels now and still want more

Why would you need to fit an aftermarket ECU? I'm sure that's news to thousands out there who have done the conversion.

Because a NA ecu wont work with an after market turbo system. If you fit a turbo motor and the corresponding ECU it will run sweet
edit read the 1st post carefully
