Do I really need to install brake boosters on my modded Type 3?

Hoping to get some feedback from guys in the know.

Up to getting my 65 (72 pan) nothch engineered.
Its has an NA EJ20. Commodore discs and calipers up front and Golf rears. Twin circuit late MC.

The engineer has sent the report back to say I need to fit a VH40 for fronts and VH44 for rears.

Do I really need to do this???

I woiuld have thought this would be an overkill?!. If I do, could anyone shed some light or pic as to placememt of them?

Thanks in advance.

I have 4 spot Boxster Brembos all round on my bug, it passed with my engineer with no booster, just needed a slightly larger MC.

Have you driven the car? How do they feel?

The RMS were a little concerned that I had no booster but the brake test proved that I didn't need one

If you have to fit a couple of remote boosters, I just did some googling and it appears Barls has one on his car. Maybe he could give some pointers?

I don't know if something like this would be suitable, one unit which does both.
