WTB Generator for Type 3 1973
I'm posting this for an Aussie on the SAMBA who is unable to register on this site.
He is looking for a generator for a Type 3 1973. He is trying to keep it original.
Any leads?

I have a couple of 6 Volt ones but am fairly sure that i have 12volt ones stashed behind my parts cleaner. Does he still need one?

Guys thanks for your patience. I have been able to get on here now (obviously).
In the short term I gave up and ordered another of the same alternator that's fitted and failing.
Having said that, I do still prefer to put the car back to original.
I need to ensure the generator is in reasonable working order as my Squareback has Bosch D fuel injection.
Kombi whisperer, I'm not familiar with that part number as the original should be a 311 903 031 E,F or J.
What is your one off?
Actually... I just googled that and realised its off a Beetle and not suitable for a Type 3...
