eeek! what a fantastic day! woohoo!:thumb:thumb:thumb first weekend off in a month and it could not possibly have been better!!
joined the sunny coast klub vw for the drive down, but had to split and go the long way round to drop of my dad and pick up my partner (who was still
asleep when i got home! that was a quick 1/2 hour getting ready!!:P) sorry for confusing the fuz and shani with my swift lane change to go the other
way! hehe didnt see anyone but fuz for the whole day! sorry guys perhaps we
can catch up sometime i am on the coast again!
stupid me only packed 1 bottle of water and no lunch!:cry so it was hot and breakfast-less the whole time!
where was the tent? where was everyone? i came around at (what i thought) was 10-10:30 and didnt really see anyone so wandered a bit more and then
came back at 12 to no avail! sorry i missed you andy! i spent the whole day looking for a good sticker! and yes, i would still love the sticker,
perhaps we can organise something soon
my new old camera certainly got a good workout! went through 2 rolls in an hour! then i ran out of film!
i loved the displays, loved every single one of the cars and ran into some people i knew pity everyone was off looking at other ppls cars because there were a few people i wanted to talk to about their kick-arse engines!
but my fave west end beetle wasnt there!! (the yellow one with black stripes, vert hebmuller look i think) and i waited and waited!
and i picked up the coolest beetle jar/cookie jar at a stall... yet another in my fine collection of retro jars!
cant wait to get the photos back tommorow! will scan and post the good ones!

I was there, came for a wander but couldn't find anybody so went back to the RBT van ( aircon). We may have met in the morning if a guy wearing a black cap directed u where to park ur show car, that was
me!!!! |

There will be another chance to get together at the Coomera VW show
on 16 November (more info soon in coming events).
All will be more organized next time
even if I have to buy a tent myself...lol
So we can all meet properly at a tent with
a big sign saying....

Don't know what happened to the tent:o I was with the Club VW bayside crew. We had a tarp set up behind our kick arse winning beach display. Got
to meet quite a few AVD members
