They were pretty common once - they were supplied with every new Australian Beetle in the cool grey plastic wallet that also held the owner's
manual.
There were many different editions; that one is from the late '60s, when LNC Industries had the Aussie VW franchise. The earlier ones, published
by VW Australasia, had a drawing of the Melbourne factory on the back.
They usually turn up at swapmeets. It's fun to collect as many different editions as you can - the date is on the second page - and see the
changes in the dealer network from year to year. It's sad to think how many there were once, and NONE now exist from VW's glory days.
Today's VW dealer list, which I'll collect again from the Sydney Motor Show next month, is a shitty little piece of folding paper. In the
1960s VW had over 350 dealers in Australia; today there are less than 20.

Ive got an original one that is from march 1951.It folds out to a really bid poster and on the back is listed with all the vw service centres that
were in germany at the time.It also has split window beetles on the cover as thats what they were at that time but its more or less the same idea as
your pamphlet.here are some pics

Depends if you want to collect them of not
Ive started the otehr month and have a few already. There Date stamped so they vary slightly.
Also collecting VW handbooklets

Most vw stuff isnt that rare,you can find and buy almost anything on the net these days.i used to collect every pamphlet,brochure or sales ad that had
to do with vw but i ended up with boxes of stuff.I got rid of most of it and ill only collect pre60 beetle or pre67 kombi litriture these days (the
older the better)and i dont ever buy doubles.personally i prefer collecting older vw stuff as it is rarer and i do relate to it more but it is all
about personal prefference.probably not rare but deffinatly an interesting piece though.

Yes, it's just impossible to collect everything VW, let alone finding a place to store everything (you should see Dave's garage).
That German dealer map is fabulous. East Germany was only a few years old then, under stong Russian military contol, and was obviously a VW
wasteland!
I reckon collecting Aussie VW brochures, booklets and magazines is definitely worthwhile, whether old or new. There's much less of it than German
or US, it's uniqie to this country and will only get more valuable as the years go on. I try to collect every VW and Audi brochure from the motor
show each year; I have them all going back to 1990.
