engine swap
Hi,
I have a 1600 engine currently in my 74 kombi, how difficult is it to put in a 2lt one. Is their any modifying to do etc? Dont know that much
about it.:o |

it shouldnt be too difficult as the 74 has the larger engine bay to suit the 2 ltr engine, I think all you have to work out is the gbox input shaft
which is different in the 1600 gboxes to the 2 ltr gbox

gearbox
Thanks Marcel. Would it be easier to change the gearbox as well or keep the 1600 one? I didnt think a 1600 one would go with the 2 lt engine?

If you're running standard Kombi wheels & tyres then swap the 2L gearbox as well, but if your going to run a big offroad tyre like 31x10.5 or
33x12.5 then leave the 1600 in.
