Leaking aerial on 74 bug

I have a roof mounted radio aerial on my 74 bug and have water dripping from around the mirror when it rains. How do I get to the aerial to remove it and reseal the hole? I assume the mirror has to be removed but don't know how.

Hi

The ariels are spring loaded for saftey reasons, just twist it to the left or right and it will popout at about the 20 past or 20 to point. Make sure you use a non acid sealant like windscreen sealant for obvious reasons.

Thanks Steve. I'll give it a go today or I'll forget now that the rain has stopped.
