Where can I get a windscreen for my 71 ghia convertible? Novus laughed at me, Theres a place near the Gate way bridge in Brisbane that may be able to make one for me, sounds expensive though. any ideas? also the wire to unlatch my deck lid, or should I just use any old wire?

Try Vic from Vicsbahn in NSW. I reckon he would have one for sure. No Idea on cost though.

have you tried Jerry? I know he's in W.A. but the difference in price may offset the freight. :)

I ended up buying the one at Instant windscreensI think it was 320 dollars he'll hold it for a few weeks while the car's getting painted. The auto sparky had it started today, first time since I bought the car a year ago, got me a bit teary.

Before you do anything else

TRY the glass in the hole on the car without any rubber at all to make SURE it fits.

And if your paying that much bucks for it make sure you get a new screen rubber and get the place to fit it for you,,,,,

Cause if its Laminated as most are they usually CRACK while you looking at them on the stand trying to install the rubber seal.

That price included installation, and I have a new rubber seal coming for it. they said it was for a type one, 55 to 74 so I guess they are all the same. Hope they dont break it, its the only one they have. but being pros they should do it well.

I think Cabrio Ghias are small than a Ghia sedan... so try it in the hole befoe you buy... let them do it as well just incase it slip through your fingers.... as ive done before.
