T3 body question
Hi all have just realized that all the bubling paint in front of the windscreen on my squareback is because some idiot has filled the air vents with
bog at some stage ant totally F*%*ED the body up.
So a new body is in order as the pan is mint. As its a 71 model can I easily put an earlier body from the 60's on my floor pan and can I change
the body to a notch or perferably a fastback.
Cheers Nige

Early and late bodys are interchangable as well as body styles Notch Fasty or Square.
Blocking the air vents in thge front of the screen is the BEST thing you can do for a Type 3.... Only use a piece of sheet metal and weld it into
place and do the job properly.
Ive just completed the 2nd one looks different.
If you need air Open the bloody window,

All the ones ive had tend to get dirt n leaves in them and this promotes rust. I suspose if there maintained correctly from the first place this
problem wouldnt occur.
I like the smooth look. and the ones ive had were blocked as well as the drain hoses.
You could take the time and remove the old box and clean it out, but when i got the cars they were already too far gone and letting water into the
car.
removing the box creats much more room under the dash area as well.
