I thought they had four bolts?

Yes thats a Type 4 engine inlet mainfold but you need 2 of them

They do have 4 bolts, but I suppose you can use two if you like?
Haven't got a pic of the side mounting to the heads, or some measurements?

Its a idf manafold for a type 4, 914. The heads on these cars had 3 bolts (and bigger valves) and the type 4 bus's had 4 bolts. Its also a good
way to tell if you have got the big valve heads.

yep the whole engine is different i dont think that any item fits or is interchangeable.
Maybe on the dissy certainly not any on the engine mechanicals

Hi
The 914 engine is the same as a Kombi but for a few details, the spark plug location, 3 studs on manifold, valve size etc, the bottom end is the
same.
