VW car care course?!
wouldn't it be excellent if there's a car care course for air cooled veedubs?!
Get some gurus to show novices like myself how to fix up your car, to keep our beloved veedubs on the road....
Or is there something similar happening already???

yah that would be awesome...
Shame majority of Dub fans are in the Eastern States..
i guess ill just have to attend the 'car care' courses they got and be happy with that. would rather a specialized Dub course where people
work on each others cars and all.!!
Pain inflicting is the only way to gain.

What a great idea. It would be so good to have someone demo how to find TDC use a feeler gauge, adjust carbie timing, workshop a motor etc.
A VW club could host such a thing.
Might be a bit difficult contacting John Muir these days.

Come on all you club presidents!!!!
would be a fantastic way to increase club membership....and you get to help all of those poor veedub owners who don't have a clue but really
really want to learn.

unforunately john muir passed away back in later 70s i think...
yes, i bought the john muir book plus hayes manual straight after i bought my bug
so far i've only managed to fix up little things like tail pipes, tail lights, re-alighn head lights and replace heater hoses, it's pretty
pathetic i know... :P
would love to try tunning my car, fix up wiring, change shocks etc etc...

Where can you get your hands on that book? i have a couple of handbooks, but i pretty much fit into the catergory of complete dummy!
Definately support this idea. i love my bug, wish i knew how to treat him better... i've made a start- i'm putting the right type of fuel in
my air cooled!!!

hey youngone give Guy Harding a call at Hardings European. He would more than likely have a copy in his shop.
they are out near the acherfield airport.
