Flywheel Woes--- i tighten and it stops spinning

Adam

fit the flywheel to the crank with NO shims or Seals and measure the distance it mooves back n forward.

push the crank one way and measure from the outer face of the flywheel to the crankcase then push the crank the opisiteway and measure. this will give you a figure less 0.004" from that then divide the measurement by 3 and thats the size of thickness of the shims required

If its locking upo then something is WRONG dont go any futher.

yes there are about 6 different thickness available.

You have to make up the difference with a quantity of three shims. This is to stop binding.

Make sure you tighten the wheel on first with no shims or seals in place.

Use a flat blade screwdriver and lever it out trying not to damage the soft case. You can pivot of the end of the crankshaft.
