that site is pure gold! retro stuff always makes me think i was born 50 years too late!
So many ideas! design was so much more aesthetically pleasing back in the 50's-60's... everything was so simple and functional... and
COLOURFUL! Like it or not, the plastic era was pretty damn stylish.
It saddens me to think how much of this era is lying under tonnes of rubbish in dumps...
theres a little pub in brunswick street in melbourne that had the back loungey area all retro and the toilet doors and walls were covered in old ads
from magazines... beaded curtains and funky couches... cant wait to go there again! |
