A question for Buggy Brad...

Hi Brad

Good news, i bought the buggy. I will talk to you soon about joing the Manx club. I was hoping to get it registered today or tomorow. Was previously reg. as 2 seat sedan buggy. I would like to follow your suit and get it reg. as a Manx utility as you described in one of the forum treads. What do i need to do to win the argument with Dept. of Transport...

Thanks
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Good to see you bought a buggy.

I think Brad is in the middle of exams and other things at the moment, and may be slow to respond. I'm sure joining the manx club will help you out heaps.

Good Work Thomas....

Speak with Brad before you go into the transport dept, they quite often do not know anything about Buggies and will give you a huge run around.

If you get stuck and cannot get Brad, call me on 0419665725

Cheers

Follow up...

Well this is how it vent... Saw the DOT in the city and they said no as they don't do the inspections anyway. After speaking with Brad he urged me to push ahead and insist so i did, i went today to another DOT on the southside and they said at first no too. I kept saying i had a cargo area at the rear and it should be classed as a ute and they could have a look since i brought it in. Luckily the lady in charge knew there were different types of Manx ie Convertible, Roadster etc. One of them was a ute a a yelled , yep, yep that's the one...:D:D. She said ok............. I did get a surprise when she was punching in the details in computer when she asked me what is the TARE and GVM, ooops.... if i could remeber from the Brad's forum discussion he was talking in tonnes bu could not remeber exactly what the numbers were. I expected it to be on their computer under that class but she said no, you have to tell me. So i churned out first numbers that came to my mind ie 1100kg tare and 2 tonne gvm.... I was vorried am i going overboard with this but she said not a word. Well, i came out with a big :D. Thank you all chaps and especially you Brad. My membership fee for a Manx Club is on it's way....

Now about those conversions... did you guys talk a V12's or something.... :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
