Door problem
Hi all,
Well this problem has been with grimace since I got him, The passenger door will open going around corners, up hills, and various places.
I have taken the car to mick motors, and he adjusted the striker plate. all was fine and it went around corners which opened before but didnt.
Today we drove over the Houghton Highway, (one of the bumpiest bridges) and it poped open, Is this normal? should I just accept that the bridge will
knock it open?.
any suggestions?

It could be the striker plate again. I had a bug that was prone to this. You'd adjust it, and a couple of months later, have to grab hold of the
passenger door as you went around a left hand corner. Adjust it a little further, and see how you go.

replace the rubbers on top of the front beam. If they are shagged abd you hit a bump the entire body can flex enough for the doors to pop open. I
had to fix the same problem in a mates 60 and I to replaced the striker
plates, the lock assembly and then finally the rubbers. Good luck |
