Delivery van - yes
Courier van - no
There are a few people that use their splits as work vans but usually as a delivery van where you can protect it a bit.
Show me one courier van that isnt dented!
Things like bumpers, headlights, tail lights, rear quarters are all too vunerable rare and expensive to warrant using a car like that as a courier van

Go for it mate. Its what they were made for. besides nothing lasts forever except your memories. I was a courier once, the van was shit and
didn't lock forward to driving it. It would of been great if it was a splitty

Get one and use it, more on the road the better.
And you can always repair them if you have an accident.
One problem might be insurance, as you might not find a company that would insure such an old vehicle for work.
But if you want one bad enough you will make it happen.

I had a '67 that was my daily driver.
not a courier van though, but daily driven nonetheless.
that was before I got my '64 that was also a daily.
I used to cart all kinds of gear in that ol' girl.
It can be done, but you can't expect it to perform like a van that's 30 yrs newer.

see the thing is that most courier vans are just work hacks, and lets face it, who really gives a s@#t about a '85 ford econovan, or a '92
toyota hiace? no-one.
thats why they all look like p.o.c.
WHEN you use your splitty as a daily, or a work vehicle, the tendency would be to look after it a little better than if it was just another van.
think of the attention it'll receive too.
