Who went to Sydney motorshow?

Who went inside the motorshow then?

I was dissappointed as usual.
1st and foremost, the girls handing out pamphlets are all politically correct and fully clothed now.
2nd No porsche stand.
3rd That much f'n HRT clothing walking around it just makes me sick.
4th The vw stand makes me cry.
The T5 was there in left hand drive. I dont like it. They are so small interior wise and not nearly as cool as a nice 70's microbus. The only one I wanted to look at, R32 golf was locked up. is this a motorshow or what? And why wasnt there a Tourag out on the test track? Settled for a nissan instead. Trakka had one of those big mutha vans there. Why didnt VW have one? Speaking of trakka, if I had $100K+ to spend on a camper I would bloody well stay at the sheraton.

only 6 things caught my eye.
-nice M3... first car I saw as I walked in. My work car.
-MG something. 5L V8. Nice wheels. Would go hard, handle crap, but good for some drag racing.
-Anything built by Smart. Dont care how many euro crash tests they have passed. Mobile coffins.
-A little daihatsu convertible. Very trendy. About $35K of fun on sunday arvos. Chick magnet.
-A Kia something meant to be a WRX. painted subaru blue, gold wheels, spoiler, bonnet scoop, but with an aneamic 1.5 (1.6?) litre engine. *vomit*
-Little kawasaki quad bike. Where were they when I was a kid!

I got to the front door, saw the packed crowd, walked out and got some lunch instead.

Ive heard the Sydney show sucked in the past so havent ever bothered coming down. But went to the Melbourne one back in March and it was great. As usual lots of fully sic holdens and fords(sorry if i offend anyone) and young boys tossing over them. The vw's had the r32 locked but if you talked to them for a while you get to sit in it(like i did). The toureg was open too and sittable as well, and im sure they had a 4motion as well. They had alot there cause it was also the first showing in aust of the new beetle convertable, mmmmmm drool.
Got a great booklet from the minis too. Telling all about there range, options, colour choice and tech data. About 50 or more pages. I think they thought i was going to trade the bug! mmmm i will at the right price.

Better option is to fly to Melbourne, hope the vic's agree with me

There wasnt a Tourag (or whatever it is) in sight at Sydney. Not on static display, and not on the 4wd test track. Every other make model of full size 4wd was there (that I know of which aint much), not VW.
