Cant help ourselves. We are sick
Since the tyre blew on the Beetle, We have decided to get new tyres.
I thought I better clean up and paint the rims before getting the tyres fitted.
Now the wheels look so good that We have now decided to respray the car and get a new interior.
I had a good look underneath and I need to fix a 50c (not the rapper) size rust hole in front of the Left hand front A pillar at the bottom.
Body wise it will be easy, we have decided to keep it basically stock in just about all areas, including colour, as it means I wont have to paint all
of the insides.
But we are going to put some graphics on the plain white canvas that will evolve.
We just cant help ourselves.
This is it now.

You can see why we want to put graphics. It will just look like a lot of other white beetles otherwise.

I just love plain white beetles with good tyres...
Your tyres must have been old to blow out

The tyre that blew out was a crossply. It had a tube in it, and the tube spat out and wrapped around the axle and pulled the handbrake cable, causing
the back wheel to lock up at 100kph.
Fleur reckons it was pretty trippy, but she held on and the car stopped without her having to apply any braking, within 150m.

Nice one,
I have a white beetle too, I'm planning on painting Calvin and Hobbes on the doors.
Calvin on the drivers side and Hobbes on the passenger side. |

Nah no Hellbug,
We will have to make it different to the bus, that has it's own character. I would like to do it, but time only permits a quickie.

Hey Pete, not exactly a response to your post but is there any info anywhere on hellbus. I've been wanting to do mine up for a while with a
similar look (not a copy) as a promo vehicle for my business. Lowered, huge wheels paint etc. Any thoughts appreciated Xhippy Steve
