Pan mod
Has anyone welded a new or used frame head on a pan?
I want to know if there is any way to make this easier.
Looking at putting a k+l head on irs pan.
Seeing as the pan is fine but the head is bent i thought i might as well convert it from ball joint to k+l,to lift it higher with out being limited by
ball joint angle.
All suggestions welcomed.

Yeah, I've heard of a few people doing it. It's all about how well you jig it tho (oh and the welding, but if you can't weld you
should'nt even consider it).
I think someone on the clubVW site has done similar by adding a B/Joint beam to a superbug 'pan.
Cheers!

yep
It is pretty easy and takes about 4 hrs from start to finish.
I have done quite a few now of there are shops around like Custom Off Road who do it for about $220 - $250 from memory.
